Overview – Water truck ticket RIIMPO326E
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to load, haul and distribute water using a water vehicle.
Licensing, legislative, regulatory and certification requirements that apply to this unit can vary between states, territories, and industry sectors, and must be sourced from state jurisdictions prior to applying this unit.
This course is appropriate for those working in operational roles within the mining, building and construction industries.
Practical Component:
- conducting prestart checks prior to commencing operations and shutdown procedures on completion of operations
- loading, hauling, discharging and distribution of water including:
- completion of discharging of water evenly on a minimum of one material type on each occasion (i.e. two materials in total) to meet moisture content requirements
- completion of distribution of water into two separate water storage facilities or receptacles
- completion of dust suppression operations
- driving and operating the equipment, and adjusting techniques to suit site conditions
- parking, shutting down and securing of equipment
Course Details
Course Location: 39 Moffat Street, Cairns North
Duration: 2 days.
Course Times: Start at 7:45am.
Assessment Type: Theory and Practical
On the day of assessment, you may be required to start before 7:30am and stay after 5pm depending on how long the formal assessment runs for, we will advise of these times whilst you are on the course.
Due to site safety inductions, any student that arrives after 08:15am will need to reschedule their booking and pay for the course in full.
If you are unable to attend due to illness, we will require a doctors certificate/clearence to be able to reschedule your course. If you are unable to provide a doctors clearance/certificate then you may need to pay for your course again.
On successful completion of being deemed competent you will receive a statement of attainment and a plastic industry wallet card issued by RTO 40817.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a car licence to get a water truck ticket?
No. A car drivers licence is not required to complete your water truck training course and receive your water truck ticket. If you have never driven or operated a vehicle then you may require additional training.
Do you guarantee I will pass my water truck assessment?
Our trainer assessors will do everything they can to equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to pass your assessment.
Our main aim is for you to stay safe so for that reason, we will not pass anyone who does not meet the passing requirements. Overall, our passing rate is extremely high.
What employment opportunities will my water truck ticket bring?

What certification will I receive?
On successful completion and assessed as competent you will receive a Statement of Attainment issued by Pro-Lift Training and Assessment Services RTO 40817.
