Overview

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to conduct operations with integrated tool carrier.

This course is appropriate for those working in operational roles within the mining, building and construction industries.

 Licensing, legislative, regulatory and certification requirements that apply to this unit can vary between states, territories and industry sectors, and must be sourced form state jurisdictions prior to applying this unit.

Practical Component:

  • conducting prestart checks prior to commencing operations and shutdown procedures on completion of operations
  • driving and operating the equipment, and adjusting techniques to suit site conditions
  • monitoring, assessing and adjusting equipment performance
  • lifting and moving load
  • coordinating activities with dogman to ensure correct selection of slings and lifting gear
  • coordinating activities with dogman to ensure load and equipment are secured and stabilised
  • moving the integrated tool carrier between worksites
  • selecting, fitting, testing, using and removing attachments, which must be certified and approved in line with workplace procedures
  • cleaning and storing attachments
  • securing and parking equipment

Please note that all theory is to be completed prior to your practical booking, to avoid disappointment please ensure both your student activity booklet and student assessment are completed in full before confirming your practical training.

 

Course Details

Course Location: 39 Moffat Street, Cairns North 

Duration: 2 days.

Course Times: Start at 7:45am.

Assessment Type: Theory and Practical

On the day of assessment, you may be required to start before 7:30am and stay after 5pm depending on how long the formal assessment runs for, we will advise of these times whilst you are on the course.

Due to site safety inductions, any student that arrives after 08:15am will need to reschedule their booking and pay for the course in full.

If you are unable to attend due to illness, we will require a doctors certificate/clearence to be able to reschedule your course. If you are unable to provide a doctors clearance/certificate then you may need to pay for your course again.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a car licence to get an integrated tool carrier ticket?

No.  A car drivers licence is not required to complete your integrated tool carrier training course and receive your integrated tool carrier ticket.  If you have never driven or operated a vehicle then you may require additional training.

Do you guarantee I will pass my integrated tool carrier assessment?

Our trainer assessors will do everything they can to equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to pass your assessment.

Our main aim is for you to stay safe so for that reason, we will not pass anyone who does not meet the passing requirements.  Overall, our passing rate is extremely high.

What employment opportunities will my integrated tool carrier ticket bring?
